Our Story...

Her Story

Aviva was born and raised in a shtetl called Teaneck. There was no fiddler, but there sure was a Tevya somewhere on the block. She went to Morasha, Moshava, and every other jewish camp in the tri-state area.  She soon branched out and attended New York University, where she graduated with a double major in political science and English literature. Oh, and she minored in mathematics. On top of that she taught spinning classes on campus, volunteered with a multitude of charities where she traveled the world, and trained for a marathon.

Meanwhile, she was aspiring to follow in the footsteps of 2/4 of her brothers and become a lawyer. She began working at a law firm as a paralegal when she realized that law was far from what she really wanted to do in life. So, she went to Israel to figure out what was really meant for her. Behold, she met me four days after landing. You may say it was love at first sight, but I don't want this to sound too kitchy.  After that is history...ask us about the rest.

His Story

Ariel grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles where he learned to live off the land and call nature his home. As a Boy Scout he often hiked, camped and backpacked in the wild. Sleeping in a tent was not extraordinary. His passion for survival combined with a goal to be academic, altruistic and adventurous led him to his calling to become a doctor. He went to study medicine in Tel Aviv, where he always wanted to live. An avid Zionist, he was able to live his dream, after he met Aviva, of course.
